Maximizing Your Scooter’s Battery Life
Your mobility scooter is designed to provide up to 14 miles on a full charge, with a top speed of 5 mph. To get the best performance and extend the battery life, follow these tips:
- Speed & Battery Life: Driving at the highest speed will drain the battery faster. For optimal battery life, drive at a mid-speed or walking speed, which can help the battery last between 4 to 6 hours.
- Turn Off When Not in Use: Always turn off the scooter when it’s not in use, such as during breaks, to conserve battery life.
- Carry Your Charger: Bring the charger with you, and when you stop for lunch, dinner, a show, or a break, ask staff where you can safely park and charge your scooter. This will help ensure your scooter remains charged throughout the day.
- Check the Charger, Not the Dashboard: When charging, always check the charger cable light, not the dashboard, to see if the scooter is fully charged. The light on the charger will turn from red to green when fully charged. If the light doesn’t turn red when you plug it in, try another outlet, as some hotel outlets may not work properly. It’s important to ensure the charger light turns red to confirm that the scooter is charging.
- Donβt Wait Until the Battery is Low: Avoid letting the battery drop to the orange/red light range. If it gets too low, it can take 6-8 hours to fully recharge, and the scooters do not support short charging sessions.
Upgrade to Lithium Batteries
For faster charging, consider upgrading to lithium batteries. These batteries can fully charge in about 2-3 hours, giving you more flexibility and reducing downtime during your trip.
Scooter Troubleshooting: What to Do If Your Scooter Stops Suddenly
- Remove the key from the scooter.
- Check under the seat to find the battery.
- Locate the small black reset button near the charger port on the battery. (See photos below for reference.)
- Press the button several times to reset the battery.
- Turn the scooter on again and check if the lights come back on.
- If the lights come back on, you’re good to go!
- If the scooter doesn’t turn on, call us during business hours for assistance.
- After hours, place the scooter in a vehicle and return it to your hotel.
- Alternatively, you can leave the scooter at a hotel with a bell desk drop-off, and we will deliver a new battery the next morning.
Important Reminder:
To avoid tripping the battery fuse and needing a reset, avoid using moving escalators or traveling on steep inclines whenever possible.

How to Reactivate Your Scooter from Roll Mode
If your scooter is stuck in roll mode, follow these steps to get it driving again:
- Remove the key from the scooter.
- Move the red lever back and forth a few times.
- Position the lever in the down or backward position. (Refer to the photos below.)
- Reinsert the key and turn the scooter back on.
The diagnostic light should stop blinking, and your scooter should be ready to drive.
Important Security Reminder: Protect Your Scooter
In Las Vegas, scooters can be a target for theft, so it’s crucial to never leave your scooter unattended, even if youβve removed the key. Keys are universal, meaning anyone with a similar scooter key could potentially use it.
As the renter, you are responsible for the scooter until it is picked up by our team. If your scooter is stolen, you must notify us immediately and file a police report to ensure proper handling of the situation.
By taking these precautions, you can help prevent theft and ensure a smooth rental experience.
